Known for his easy vibe, personable character, and excellent selecting, Jah Prince was born to spin and has been doing so since he was 16 years old. Jah Prince has been in Atlanta since 1991 and has many years experience as a DJ/Selector, Promoter, Event & Market Consultant. He also has background knowledge as a Programing Assistant for various Caribbean/Urban shows in the Caribbean and Europe. Branching away from the standard 'soundsystem' selector Jah Prince (aka Prince Jamal) won 'Solo DJ of the year' in 2000 and was Nominated for 'Best Reggae Mixtape DJ' at the 11th Annual Justo Mixtape Awards for 2007 coming in 3rd place worldwide out of 100 submissions. In the 90s Prince volunteered at WRFG 89.3fm and then joined Jason Sky Walker on 88.5 WRAS to enhance the direction of the 'Caribbean Shakedown' Tuesday Night program. Currently Jah Prince plays two shows on Atlanta's First Caribbean based Internet Radio Station, Da Flava Radio (www.DaFlavaRadio.com). Love Ultra the RnB Mix Show airs weekly on Tuesdays 11pm to 1am & the 'Sunsplash Mix Show' airs Saturdays 10am to 1pm.

Working on DaFlavaRadio and archiving the shows on his Podcast allow him to display his love of different genres and ability to highlight special events worldwide. The exclusives from the artists he's worked with for years and the other DJs in the Sunsplash Media Network make the shows entertaining and informative. Interviews with Cherine Anderson, DaVille, Bridgez, Dwele', Queen Ifrica, Estelle, Kris Kelli, Tippa Irie (UK), Pressure (V.I.), Gailann (TnT), Tizzy, Lady Flame, Etana, Shaggy, Bramma, Kelly Love Jones, Tifa, Freddie McGregor and many other artists over the yearz are a testimant to his commitment to good music.

Over the years, working with his parent company Sunsplash Media, Inc. Jah Prince travels and networks with various artists, producers and labels directly. As a host, he has covered and reported live from, most notably, Pepsi Rebel Salute 2010, Guiness Sting 2009 and the 2007 Jah Cure 'CureFest' all in Jamaica and the Best of the Best Concert in Miami, Florida. After 2006/2007 his mixes were highly downloaded in Asia, Africa and Europe, which let him focus on studying the marketing trends of the music industry. Jah Prince mixes are frequently highlighted via the weekly podcast stats on www.Podomatic.com. Fans hear special mixes, concert snippets and artist interviews and this has then magnified by the high number of downloads directly from 'iTunes', of which he gets a high ratings of popularity.

Within Atlanta, Jah Prince is known as a veteran selector among his peers and his credibility with many retail business and venue owners serves as a benchmark for the next generation of Caribbean DJs. Working closely with his label partner DJ RASTA ROOT of Smokin Needles Records. They have promoted and expanded their "FACE OFF FRIDAY" monthly party into a 5 year branded event, infusing Reggae with R&B and Dancehall with Hip Hop. Face Off Fridays is every 2nd Friday at the MJQ Concourse, voted 'Atlanta's Best Dance Club' several times by Creative Loafing. Many American/Caribbean artists have been special guests and/or stopped by to experience one of longest running monthly's in the city. Members of Atl's Goodie Mob, Hip Hop's Wu-Tang, Dancehall Singer Wayne Wonder, Super Producer 9th Wonder and many more of the years. You can also check Jah Prince out at EL BAR alongside DJ RAST ROOT quarterly and on occassion throught the city at special events. Working with longtime supporter ‘Phife Dawg’ of A Tribe Called Quest on several projects with Riddim Kidz, allowed Jah Prince to take another step into the production arena.

Jah Prince is affiliated directly with CY Clothing, Inc. as a Marketing Assistant expanding on the connection between the American/Caribbean Fashion and Entertainment market. As a host he has traveled to various islands/states to negotiate, explain and execute the ideals of the company leading to a direct streamline for retail-sales. As a Selector/DJ he found another niche making the promo cds for the events sponsored by CY, and is now commissioined to produce 8 cds per year to coincide with the release of the clothing lines. These releases include Summer Reggae, Fall Dancehall, Reggaelution: CY Singers Series and CY Evolution: Dancehall Series mainly sent with each customer order and then in bulk distributed during Caribbean festivals worldwide.
